Parlez-vous français?
Bonne nuit. Just returned home from my friend's birthday dinner at Melisse on Wilshire (it's 1AM by the way). Like I've always said, anything French just seems beautiful me, but French cuisine... well let's just say it may be a little bit too pricey for my taste. I recall celebrating my anniversary with Edwin in August at some fancy snobby French restaurant in Hong Kong that cost us probably 6000HKD (approximately 800USD) but my tummy was utterly disgusted and dissatisfied. (sadface)
(I had only begun taking photos after my 2nd main course, too busy chitchatting before that)

L'amour.
S
For those of you who haven't yet crossed paths with one of my favorite directors, Sofia Coppola, I would love for you to take some time to look into her work. Loved for her sense of aesthetics, art direction, and set decoration in her films, she is a walking lifestyle of all the pretty little things I embrace.
"The Virgin Suicides" was an intriguing film I stumbled upon quite a few years back while browsing along the aisles of Blockbuster. Just the film name itself sounded quite like something that would interest me. Turns out it was a beautifully shot film with an interesting plot, nothing astonishingly sophisticated but definitely a story to tell.
This photo album is just beautiful. Thought I'd begin my blog with one of my heaviest influences and strongest inspirations-- Sofia Coppola-- a name to be remembered.

Voilà!
So I finally decided that it was time to hop onto the Blogspot train and join the, you know, "hipper" crowd in the blogging world..
Ahemm.. after countless attempts in abandoning Xanga for something new and better, yes, I have now resorted to Blogger. The only word that comes to mind in retrospect is nostalgia-- imagine all those tears shed upon my keyboard over the past seven years of Xanga membership. Mind you, pathetically, Xanga could very well have been my best friend.
But it's time to move on... We all make new friends in life, don't we?
Maybe some old readers will stumble upon me again. Afterall, Xanga is like, omg soooo out of date. HAHA.
Brace yourself and welcome to the Pretty Little Things.
the beautiful things in life, especially in nature, that strike me with awe..
